and beyond. The prime object behind this
movement is to provide all sorts of advanced
treatment in ENT, which includes Audiology,
Speech pathology, Vestibular medicine and
Pulmonology
It is my privilege to introduce this website
which covers majority of the treatment modalities
in the field of Otorhinolaryngology. I started
this venture in a small way in 1998 along
with a team of ENT Surgeons, Audiologists
and Auditory Habilitations. This was the
first of its kind in North Kerala providing
state-of-art ENT care in all disciplines.
My dream in providing complete solution
for deafness became true when we started
cochlear implantation in 2002 after undergoing
training in Cochlear Implantation from The
Bionic Ear Institute, Australia. With new
born hearing screening & early intervention
programmes we could pick up the hearing
impaired children early enough to provide
world class care. Our success is directly
attributable to our nationally recognized
faculty. The care they provide is second
to none.
Our faculty is actively involved in various
areas of research, including hearing loss,
sinus disease, and cancer. My team is one
among the well known centers in India performing
paediatric cochlear implantation regularly.
This is being made possible with support
from our excellent Paediatric Audiologists
& Auditory Habilitationists. By combining
the cutting edge technologies with laboratory
discoveries, we are able to optimize health
and quality of life for our patients. We
have a full fledged Audiology Department,
Vertigo Clinic, Digital hearing aid fitting
clinic, Voice Lab & Sleep Lab.
The advances that we have made in the non
medical management of dizziness and nasal
allergy and polyps are of world class standards.
Among the first in Asia to start the particle-repositioning
maneuver for the management of benign positional
vertigo, and intratympanic gentamycin treatment
for Meniere’s disease, this department has
provided relief to thousands of people.
Allergy as we all are now aware is a medical
disease and requires comprehensive management
of nasal and bronchial allergy for complete
cure. Polyps requiring multiple surgeries
and septal corrections are rarely required
as optimized care provide relief to the
sufferers. By following international standards,
we continue our path-breaking work in treatment
of upper airway allergy.
In the field of head and neck cancer surgery,
all of our patients are effectively rehabilitated
and speak after major laryngeal extirpation
surgery. This has been made possible by
incorporating the latest in medical technology
and surgical skills to provide that extra
edge. With support from plastic and reconstructive
surgeons we plan to further increase our
repertoire.
The ENT / Audiology field has expanded
at an amazing pace over the past fifteen
to twenty years like any areas of Medicine.
The amazing developments occurred in the
field of hearing science has made it possible
to diagnose the cause of hearing loss so
precisely so that world class treatment
can be provided to patients.
No successful unit is complete without
academic achievements. We have a full fledged
library, broadband internet connection,
video library and regular CME programmes
to keep everyone abreast of latest in the
field of Otolaryngology- head & neck
surgery.
